Make Waves/Make a Splash @ Your Library - 2010 Summer Library Program

MAKE WAVES / MAKE A SPLASH @ YOUR LIBRARY

We’re set for another great summer library program at the Horton Public Library. This year we invite kids of all ages to come to the library for fun programs and events with an emphasis on the wonder of water. There are many special surprises planned and even children who are not yet readers are encouraged to participate with the help of older siblings or parents to read to them.

READING PROGRAM
Signup for the Reading program will be at the Library the week beginning May 24. Each child should have a goal in mind for the number of books they will read in the 5-week period that will end June 26. There are minimum goals for all children:
Non-readers – 15 books Readers through 3rd grade – 15 books
Readers in grades 4 or greater – 5 books
All children will be given a log to keep track of books read plus a book bag and bookmark. Reading logs MUST be turned into the library staff on/before June 26 so that they can receive awards at the Final Party.
