Governor Parkinson declares June 1 as official Kick-off day for Summer Reading

TO THE PEOPLE OF KANSAS, GREETINGS:

WHEREAS, Summer Reading Programs encourage Kansans to visit their
community libraries and explore a world of information; and

WHEREAS, Summer Reading Programs help students improve their reading
skills and foster a lifelong love of reading; and

WHEREAS, Summer Reading Programs promote fun and exciting ways for
people of all ages to discover the power of literature:
